Fashion tips from top internet fashion bloggers
1) Ana Bogusky – Dress the body you have. @mrsamericanmade – Tweet this |
My best tip is always the same: “Dress the body you have,” I heard American stylist Stacy London say that one day on the TLC show, “What Not to Wear,” and it literally changed my life. Many days I will repeat those words to myself. So many people wait to lose those last five (or ten, fifteen, or whatever) pounds that they end up wasting time. Make yourself look as good as you can today, for today.

3) Devoreaux Walton – Back to basics! Wear the proper undergarments with every outfit to keep the focus on your clothes and not what is underneath! Stay classy! @DevoreauxWalton – Tweet this |
Wearing the proper undergarments is so important to be both fashionable and classy. A strapless dress requires a strapless bra. A sheer shirt requires an undershirt, cami or black or tan colored bra. Not wearing proper undergarments can throw any outfit off – and takes attention away from the clothing you have on! Be sure to have a proper collection of slips, hosiery, bras, and shapewear that way you are prepared for any occasion!

5) Grace Ndiege – All fashion laws have exceptions except those that don’t. Push the envelope don’t let your style be defined by the rule! @NdiegeGrace – Tweet this |
Identify your signature style and make it work for you for every and any occasion. Comfort is key even when you are being risque and testing new waters. My style is simple and elegant so I try not to complicate my outfits. I will sometimes go off the tangent completely with an extremely edgy piece but there is always a base piece that makes the outfit me.
When you put together outfits, despite the influence of trends, let the look define your style. It could be the accessories that remain constant and wearable with all pieces or a signature statement like your hair. You know it’s your style when someone sees a piece and exclaims, That is so you! Be aware of the occasion and time for which you are dressing so that you are appropriately dressed. Forget the dress code feel free to play with boundaries in small ways, use unconventional items as accessories and mix expensive items with inexpensive ones.

6) Irati Rua – Never go out in an outfit you don’t feel comfortable in. – Tweet this |
Never go out in something you don’t feel completely comfortable in. No matter how great you actually look, if you don’t feel OK you’ll feel annoyed all day and you won’t actually feel like you look good. Think where you are going and dress accordingly & Find the balance between comfortable and fashionable.

8) La Carmina – The quality of the fabrics, cut & construction are key. If a garment is poorly made, it wont fit/last long. Not worth it in the long run. @lacarmina – Tweet this |
I recommend that people look carefully at the quality of the fabrics, cut and construction when they choose clothing. These factors come above all else – don’t be sidetracked by brand names or trends. If a garment is poorly made, it won’t fit well on your body or last long – it’ll start to sag or come apart. In my opinion, these “fast fashion” purchases are never worth it in the long run. If you invest in a high quality and timeless piece, it’ll continue to “spark joy” (as Japan’s Marie Kondo would put it) for years to come.

There are endless number of tips which we can give or we are aware of, but still we always come across a situation wherein we get so confused that our minds stop working hence for such a situation, I follow only one fashion rule – “When in doubt, get that red pout and nude stilettos on

10) Tanya Virmani – Wear what’s comfortable and you can carry with confidence. Be yourself! @LetsExpresso – Tweet this |
Fashion is classy. It is what makes you feel great. You can even wear a sack and carry it like a couture if you have the confidence and the courage. If what you wear makes you cringe, don’t wear it even if it is making headlines.

12) Catherine Brock – Use the 80/20 rule! 80% of an outfit can be your tried-and-true, go-to styles – use the 20% to experiment with new colors, cuts, textures! @budgetfashion – Tweet this |
Being stylish is really the art of balance – pairing really interesting pieces with more muted pieces that can take a backseat for the day. Find this balance by applying the 80/20 rule when putting together an ensemble. Eighty percent of your outfit is made up of the basics; these are your tried-and-true, go-to styles. For the other 20 percent – this is where you can have some fun – experiment with new colors, patterns, textures and cuts. For example, pair tailored, dark denim jeans, white oxford shirt and dark wedges (the basics) with a big floral handbag and a bold lip color (your fun, experimental elements).

13) Matthew Pike – Remember that the best feeling you can get from clothing is confidence @mat_buckets – Tweet this |
My number one tip is to remember that the best feeling you can get from clothing is confidence. If you’re not 100% on how something looks or if you feel uncomfortable them it’s not the right item for you.

Fashion is often a very personal thing.
Your personal style should reflect what feels good on and what makes you feel good when you go out.
Of course, a bit of inspiration in finding those perfect items can be just what you need to take your personal fashion sense to the next level.
